Added windshield and front sidecar rack

Unread postby GoPapi » Sat Apr 22, 2017 7:14 pm

Hi everyone,

First season with my 2013 Ural Tourist has started. I bought it last november and put it in storage for the winter in a temporary shelter so I didn't do much to it these past few months.

I installed new grips, a fairing and a front sidecar rack. I wasn't sure about the black fairing but I think it looks pretty good, it sort of blends in with the black leg guards. The same for the rack, I had the option of getting a chrome one, flat balck or this one. I find this one blends matches the black sidecar frame.

Now with the fairing I am much more confortable riding, sorry driving, in colder weather and both the fairing and the sidecar winshield are easy to take off for the warmer summer days.

Anyway, I attached a few pictures of the bike with and without the changes. Looking forward to your comments.

Wish you all a great season.

Regards,
GoPapi

I guess the size of the tubing does make it look big. Do you think it's too much?

It is a bit wider than a Ural specific rack in the front but overall width and lenght are about same.

I like the fairing and rack….all you need now is a black front fender licence plate.

Thanks  Although it wasn't in the plans, I will consider the fender licence plate.

BTW: The purpose of this part of the forum is to review stuff that other forum members might be interested in getting. To that end it would help if you told us the brand model of the accessories and perhaps where you bought them.....

Sorry about that Sidecar Bob. I bought the HD tour pack luggage rack on eBay for $51.99US from this seller:

Seems like the price has gone up in the past two weeks. The Ural fairing I got from Peterborough Cycle:

They were liquidating them for $295.00. I think they still have some at this price.

I do think so and it's a very nice build. The welds and paint finish are very nice and I think it fits the sidecar pretty well. It looks even more awsome with the sidecar windshield down and the tonneau cover on.
