Great ride report....enjoyed it a lot..
I noticed the med cannister you have on the back. I have one just like it, I think. Would you mind getting a close-up picture of how you mounted it on the rear of the bike. I like the way you mounted it. Where did you get the bracket? Please let me know. Thanks!

Charlie, it's just mounted on the two upper screws which mount the rear taillight assembly to the guard. I removed those screws, had my kid hold the can steady while I scribed from under the mudguard. Then drilled the holes and mounted using slightly longer screws.

Was taking a few pics when the owner showed up. Older guy, he says "Bet you don't know what that is"
I says "Sure I do, it's a Chang Jiang" Then I told him I have a Ural, and we chatted for a bit.
It's a '69, fully restored; he paid 6 grand for it from the guy in Brooks, Alberta and had it shipped up to Whitehorse.

He said he's no mechanic, but knows one who helps him keep it running. I of course wished him well with it.
